German gas mask canister 1940
Hey , i got this as a birthday present not long ago. My dad refers to it as the second most recognisable feature of a german soldier. It is a relatively clean gas mask canister only missing straps and its contents . I only need help with one bit , who is the manufacturer? It says AEMA 40 .the canister also has a nice waffenamt stamp

So that’s weird then . The waffenamt doesn’t match up with the manufacturer?
Waffenamt inspector marks aren't always specific to one firm.
Ah alright. That’s something new for me then . Got confused when WaA204 - Hohmann, Kaiserslautern came up
