Goggles with case for Mountain Troops ?
My neighbor recently gave me these goggles that were brought back from the war by his father-in-law. I'm curious if they are mountain troop goggles. They are vented with mesh on the sides and the clasps appear to be for a metal chain instead of elastic straps. The lining of the case says Gebr. which I assumed was for Gebirgsjäger, but perhaps it's just the address of the manufacturer because it says Mittlestrass. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Al

Hello Aldo,
Sorry i can't help you as i have never seen this type of goggles before
IMO, Gebr does not mean Gebirgsjäger, but Gebrüder (brothers)
Hope someone can help you out
Thanks

They do look like commercial safety goggles with the mesh on the side to protect the eyes from debris.
Like what machine operators in a factory would have used.... period for sure, but maybe not military issue.

So that's the shop where Harry bought his wand
And yes, Gebr. indeed means Gebrüder (same as in for example Warner Bros)
Interesting piece, though.
