Help With Ammo Pouch

Hello All, I just picked up what I believe is an Unusual Great War Blackened German M1909 ammo pouch with field modifications It is marked with the manufacturers name and "Berlin" I was hoping someone would know the name of the company as I cannot make out the firms name any help appreciated.

I think it might be WerkGenosDenschau u. Sohne, Berlin, 1917.
An abbreviated form of werkerei genossenschaft Denschau & Sohne - workshop cooperative Denschau & Son(s).. (or something like that - please excuse the dodgy German spelling)!

I’m intrigued by the field modifications of which you speak..

Thank you so much Kohima!, I searched for a couple of hours with no luck! Does anyone know of a list of leather field gear manufacturers out there? The piece has Definitely "Been There" and the repairs definitely appear period done. There also no dividers in the pouches and the center ring tab has also gone to time.

You’re very welcome, Geoff. I enjoyed the challenge! It didn’t make a lot of sense until I started working backwards, then guessed at an abbreviation.. (you know how those Germans love an abbreve)!

The makers list is a great idea.. We’ve got one so far!
Perhaps a list for each war, for ease of reference, and we can see the longevity of the producers. I’ll have to dig out my examples..

Yours has certainly led a full life! Cracking unit stamps, too.
