This is a very nice pair of Austrian made ice crampons that are in excellent condition. Added them for my Gebirgsjager / Mountain Troop collection to go with my boots. These smaller types from what I can tell were used in WWI and into WWII. They are constructed of heavy iron with four bent-down cleats on each one. Complete with fastening straps and buckles. Each crampon is maker marked on the instep with, “WERK FULPMES” in an arc over the size numeral “5”. “WERK-FULPMES” is one of the many forge works in the Stubai Valley in south Tyrol, Austria which produced ice axes and other climbing gear.
