interesting canteen strange material blue enamel cup

hello this is the last find of my father ,we both are rather weak in the equipment so i have a few questions.this is the very firt time i see this type of material and the cup style,..can You give bring information about this type?at this moment my father decided to not open it because he is not certain of a leather condition if this will change in time i will add the inner photos

I believe that this is a mix of 1914-1945 parts put together...The Late-War enamel cup is a rarity itself...

This is what I believe to be a “Schindler” canteen. It looks like it’s complete I’ve seen this type of rough cover on them before. This is a nice rare example of a Schindler canteen.

It looks like a great example of late war Feldflasche with ersatz cover, riveted loops and a magnificent blue enameled cup.
Too bad we can"t seen the canteen itself...perhaps one day !?
Those "Schindler" cups are not so common on the market.
