K98 Sling

Same again with this K98 sling, had this for a while, some say period some say post war. I was told with the three stitching lines and hatching on the leather its a period made sling, its also has a some numbers stamped into it, I am not an expert whatsoever. Any opinions?

Gents, K98 sling has some markings in the stitching but hard to read

Looks like an RB number, which would make it a wartime post-1943 sling. I believe you’re correct about the crosshatching. MP40 slings exhibit the same characteristic.
