I got same Kochgeschirr , Marked MN but no dates of production.
I just wondering ,if it late war ,or postwar period ?

I don't know anything definitive - but I would think that the inner aluminum "plate" would have been a bit redundant in the field.
For a piece of kit most soldiers lived fine with for years with just a body and lid, I'm sure it was quickly discarded...... or lost!!
These images are another reason I believe that we quite often see non-matching tops and bottoms!
