    Hello,
it's not from my book, it's from Osprey 234 German Combat Equipments 1939-45 page G of Ron Volstad's work...nice one Tom...I would have answered earlier but i didn't have an internet connexion for almost a week...I have bought this book in 1992 in Brighton. Your set up is later war than Ron's as you use a simplified belt where the book shows a belt with inner tongue for the buckle... (even is both sewings are invisible...!)
    Thanks

You have a sharp eye JP

Indeed, I have used an "M42" belt

I have heared this shovel is austrian in origin, but these "foreign" shovels in german use still puzzles me sometimes....
