Here’s my ‘S’ marker knife for comparison - Nahkampfmesser - Trench / Boot knife - knives aren’t the easiest things to photograph! For what it’s worth, it looks good to me. The scabbard/ sheath looks to be of different condition to the knife, however, it might be the photos.

    Hello,
I do not own a S marked example, but a L5 one. I do not see red flags concerning the originality of the Kampfmesser.
However, as mentioned before there is a big difference between the knife and the sheath in term of condition. The sheath looks almost new while the blade of the knife is used and was perhaps sharpened.
The last thing is about the sheath itself, there should be three retaining clips at the back, two going down, one going up. On your example the two that go down are still here, but the one that go up is missing, it's broken just above the rivets.
Below you can see two photos of your knife, the first shows where the problem is, the second, how it should look (sorry for my poor skills).
    Thanks

Here is my example with the "S" stamp to compare.
I also have L5 and L6 marked examples as well.
