Medical Pony Fur Rucksack

Article about: I found this for sale at what I think is a deal at \\$200 I’ve not seen many of these for sale and when I do they are relatively expensive. It’s rough and looks to have at least one strap

Here it is, I looks like it’s just about seen everything and it’s rough. It has little bits of leather coming off whenever I move it so I’ve packed it so it keeps the shape and I’m just going to leave it. The fur is in good condition but had dirt all over It so I lightly brushed it off. I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Problem now is that I want a good condition example!

    Cheers,
    Bodhi

It has some deterioration on the leather. The tabs can be replaced pretty easily. The hook in the back has been replaced but you might be able to repair that as well. The interior has not been ripped out and the Red Cross insignia is intact so that is really good. Your choice to leave as is or do some repairs. Whatever you do, it should be done with great care. I had a closure flap on a Fernsprechtornister replaced - very similar to the medical pack. Neil

Thanks for the additional info, I think I’ll leave it alone, as I’d probably mess it up more if I tried to repair anything. I’m going to make sure it keeps it’s shape and doesn’t have to suffer anymore damage and leave it at that.
