For starters most likely we'll need higher resolution pics- but in my personal opinion I don't like it. Numberplates are far from my area of expertise but something just looks wrong with this one- and I believe they are supposed to have a red stamp. Furthermore, as far as I know tanks never had number plates, vehicles however did- but they were rectangular (like a normal numberplate) this example would be the plate from the rear of a motorcycle. What is the asking price for this?

Cheers Dav, he wants $500US.
I did think it was a bit sus, that’s why I chucked it on the forum.
To me the SS looked a bit off and I’d never seen one on a tank before,
Tanks aren’t really my thing I just thought it would look cool on the wall lol
But I did just learn about the red stamps you mentioned.
Thanks again Dav

Again, I'm no expert here- it could be genuine- however, if you're new to the hobby and just looking for something cool to have in your mancave, then $500 could get you something much more interesting in my opinion- A nice bayonet, possibly a helmet.

The wear and tear on it looks contrived to me, or at least as far as I can tell from the small photographs.
You can see a couple of originals in this thread: SS License Plates

Looks complete rubbish to me, the runes are wrong. Any Teutonic chain dog worth his salt would arrest the occupants of such a vehicle on sight.

I'm sure you'll find something for your mancave! Remember to post it here first as we may have just saved you $500

The ruins look nothing like originals.
