Some interesting items

Hello all, Im new to the forum and recently came across some old German military stuff after a reletive passed away. He was in the european theater during the period in and around D-day. He left all sorts of treasures ill post a link to all the other stuff here.

Ill try and put the right things in the right forum, so here are a few utensils, an aviation compass, and some really strange stuff labeled as "v-2/zeus 40 timers/detonators"

Im not quite sure how much of this stuff I want to keep, maybe a few items, but I would also be willing to entertain any offer someone makes. Im between jobs right now so my desire to keep some of these items is likely to be outweighed by my desire to eat!

First- the weird stuff, a leather case with small cylindrical mechanical devices in it with a note saying they are disarmed timing mechanisims/detonators for zeus 40 and v2 rockets.




























An aircraft compass (still works!)

Any help you can give me identifying what exactly i have here would be greatly appreciated!

The first fork looks Luftwaffe. V2 rockets were long range ballistic missles. A secret letter saying to disarm them is amazing. The timing mechanism would set it and launch at a specific time. Very cool items.

Yeah one of the timing pieces you can see all the little gears in there, its like a little swiss watch. er.... German watch.
