Hi Doug,
The badges look good. Possibly a late war zinc 3rd pattern Observer by Assmann and a pretty rare zinc example of the ball hinge Luft Flak by an unknown maker perhaps?
Regards, Ned.

Thanks Ned,
I think there was one other observer attached to a belt and another flak that had lost one wing in the group but it was a nice bundle of stuff.
I think you are right abot the Observer being an Assmann but we will never know.
Whoever did the soldering job on that piece did a real good job. Even the zinc has melted!!
All the best
Doug

I never would have believed that was original ! Thanks for posting a good one .

What appears a little odd about it is that the two badges seem to have been put on upside down. If you look at the front with the pattern you'll see what I mean, the case is back to front and inverted if you are to look at the badges the right way up.
Regards, Ned.

I see what you mean Ned
Ahhhh. I have the answer perhaps he was left handed!!
OR perhaps it was so the person being offered a cigarette would see the badges the correct way up.
I guess we will never know
All the best
Doug
