SS license plate, genuine or not?

Hi all,

I bought this SS license plate from reputable dealer in UK but now some are claiming it is a fake. I would very much appreciate your expert opinions on this plate

For me it is clearly a fake.
I don't want to go into the unsightly design itself, but the kind of rust and aging is absolutely unnatural.

I know zero about this plates but that rust looks weird and maybe acid aged to me

In my opinion, everything wrong with this plate. 100% fake, I'm sorry. Try to find some old pictures of the SS vehicles. This will help you to determine the authencity.

Which UK dealer is that? I personally never purchase from the UK.
