Hey Brocky,
I have not come across one with that cup type. Are there any ink markings on the ribbon placket where buttons reside? Button maker stamps? Any markings on the cup? The cup I am not sure of? Looks like a medics cup.
Here is an old thread for some comparison for the SS and RZM stamps. I am not certain about the SS and RZM markings and am doing some looking for you. They look a little sloppy to me but am digging

Here are some other links to SS Canteens on here.

Also a helpful thread on here to look through: SS field gear etc markings
This is mine with the single circle around SS and RZM and is a 1935 early model Allgemeine model.

Here is a great thread to look through with great examples: SS field gear etc markings
The RZM and SS on the one you posted is similar to the ones on this cap, mess kit and bullet.

Great examples for comparison Rossi. Overall, I like the canteen that opened this thread. It is different than the other examples you provided. Perhaps because it is likely a Medic canteen as you stated here. Hope to hear other opinions on this interesting canteen.

I would expect the cup to be the regular black aluminum cup seen on the M31. As Rossi already asked we would need to see better pictures of any markings on the cup.
Although I have seen these cups on regular capacity canteens they where normally mismatched unless it’s a 1 liter canteen
Its a good one , i have had these before and see no problems with this one , normally the cups have standard markings on them
I’ll ask the seller for more pictures
What would these canteens go for ie price range
Thanks brocky
Brocky, see if the seller can take a fews picture of inside canteen’s cover placket / ribbon to see if there are any visible ink markings. Also what the snaps of buttons are marked with along with metal cup markings. Also does inside cap look good with an orange rubber gasket? Maybe a pic there.
I think the more it is marked and the cleaner the canteen the more value in my estimation. If there are no moth holes or rips in cover and buttons are not rusted and paint is intact on the buttons or no dents in aluminum it should bring more. For value it is really up to you and seller along with condition. Looks good. SS stuff usually commands double or triple of a normal marked item it seems. Good luck brother and hope you can get it.
