Default Tent pole pouches Polizei Unit marked. Please help!

    Hello guys!

Today i got these 4 tent pole pouches with incomplete content.

In the flap of one of them is most likely written:

    M. Bolts III./2./Pol.Abt.Hbg. (Süd) ?

Can anyone please help me to find more information about the unit or the former owner? Is it the original wartime unit or was the pouch used post war by Hamburg police?

One of the other pouches is stamped with the letters Po. Most likely for police. The other two have no marks or stamps. The tent pegs are stamped with 1941 or 1942.

If anyone has any idea about the unit or other information about the sets please let me know.

I've paid 15 Euro for all 4, so I think I got a great deal, even if only the pegs turn out to be wartime made. But I believe the pouches and poles to be ww2 manufactured too.

Thanks and greetings from northern Germany!

I've tryed to enhance the contrast on the wrighting.
Could also mean "(Nord)" or "(Mot.)" at the end of the units name.
Would be great if someone could shed some light on the structures of Police Abteilungen.
    Any Input is highly appreciated!

    Hello,
Hell yes you've made a great deal, 15e for all these sets, it's just peanuts.
The black Zeltleine only is worth more than that. If possible i would like to see how both loops at both ends look like with a better photo, if i may ask. To see better white examples would be also great.
I can't help you with the "Pol" writings, sorry.
    Thanks for posting them.
    Thanks

Here are the Photos of the "knots" on the strings loops.
They are not really knots but more spliced and woven to a loop.
I was not able to get a good shot of the Black ones, as these are pretty stiff.
The white ones are woven in the exact same manner, These were easyer to Photograph.

Very interesting detail, I was not aware of this craftsmenship that has gone into These loops.
Thanks for pointing that out to me and ask for the pictures.
Otherwise i had not seen this detail!

I also think you made the deal of the year with these. I'm struggling with the markings but they do appear to denote the III Bataillon of the 2 Polizei Abteilung, but I cannot read the rest. if the last part within the brackets says Süd then I would guess the previous abbreviation implies Heeresgrüppe. However this is still is only a guess

Thanks for your reply! I am pretty happy about the find!

I think i finally found a match for the Unit!!

Polizei Bataillon III/2 founded 1939 in Hamburg.
20 days later renamed to Reserve Polizei Bataillon 103.
You can find good Information about the Res. Pol. Btl. 103 online :

    Lexikon der Wehrmacht

So the pouch could have been handed out when the Bataillon was founded and was then marked
    with the early Unit Name.

The last bit could read (mot.) I'm pretty sure now alter closer inspection.

I hope it all makes sense but i think its the most possible match.
Any further Information is highly appreciated!

Thanks again to all who replied so far!

I agree, I think you are correct with the tent pack being issued originally to Herr Boltz while he was a member of Polizei Bataillon III/2 from Hamburg.
