Just picked this up and will post pics when it arrives. In ref to the markings 10/J.R.115 II. I see this as 10th Battalion Infantry Regiment 115 Company? Does anyone know exactly? The piece is named and I might try and see if I can find out who he was?

I have several, they are quite evocative of the period and still reasonably priced....

I will post pics when it arrives, I also have a Mess kit strap en route and another utility strap. Next big purchase will be a shovel and carrier. Not sure whether or not to go for the straight E Tool or the folding one

You stand a better chance of getting a good folding klapspaten than a straight one i would think. Covers are the tricky find....

Looks like a nice Tornister 34 with the messkit pouch still there.
Mine has a missing button for the front pocket where yours also shows damage.
It also has a nametag?
Only thing I added to mine was the short strap from the bottom which hooks to the equipment belt.
