Article about: I always like these cans, and tried to get a good assortment. The backpack can with the straps eluded me for a while! --Kevin

so they were only 5, 10 and 18 cans ?

    Hello,
Yes they were only these three cans available for a man to carry them.
I tried on the 18 liter can full of red wine in a party with some close friends, it was funny...but the backs of the guys who are around 60 kilo (around 120 lbs) will remember it.
Below is my example of 5 liter. I had many opportunities to get the 10 & 18 L a long time ago at my local fleamarket but never made the final step, always buying something else because it was more combat...when i decided to get some, they were nowhere to be seen again. It's called life.
A late war Essenbehälter can be seen as well, with a tank made of dark blue enameled iron and web/leather carrying straps.
(sorry, i was too lazy to shoot again the 5L can or to delete the Essenbehälter for this photo)
    Thanks

very nice. Been looking to find one of these at the local shows but they never turn up.
There was that one table at the past Max Show that had a few of them ....one of them half decent...but I remember you blinked and it was gone.

I've always liked the "Trinkasser's", love the backpack ones

    Great collection my friend.

Did they have a makers name on the bottom of the tin?
