I have a question. Is this a WII optics instrument, and if so where was it used for? no maker or date found in the pouch.

C.X.N is the German wartime code for Emil Busch A.G. in Rathenow,Germany. From the mount and the cross hair sights, I would imagine that this was used with some sort of artillery piece.

Is this part period WWII? It is difficult to find information on the internet where this part belonged to what optics?

Definitely wartime, as the codes were only used in that era. The "k.f." stands for cold resistant.(marine lubricant-effective in temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius) This would be natural, if it were fitted to a ship's gun such as a range finder.
