Wehrmacht Brotbeutel Identifikation, bitte ;-)
Ok, so I bought this breadbag, looked good, and the seller seemed to have any TR related stuff so that it wouldn't be a problem. Finally got it in the mail, and it feels and looks off to me... Doesn't smell very old, looks to be obviously unissued, and there's a stamp under the top flap that I could swear reads 1950, or 1960, can't make it out that well, and it's even worse in the pics I took.
Anyway, don't know if anyone can tell from a pic...
The buttons are too shiny and very thin also, possibly thinner that the early alu buttons on my 1936 dated Luft Zeltbahn. The leather tabs on the top flap are very thin, flimsy. The leather of all straps appears to be pigskin.
I blacklighted it, and nothing glows.
Danke!

That's an early East German one, still nice

René is quite correct. The weave in the strap and the stamps indicate post war. NH

Thx, you guys are priceless.
Anybody wants this PM me, otherwise it's going back to the sender because it's not TR as it is supposed to be, but you're right, it's a nice bag in it's own right.

Hi
A giveaway are the width of the leather tabs.... Also there is probably a devider inside !
And normally TR breadbags are stamped on the middle strap with hook.....

So much to learn, even on the simple items...
