Not the most exciting item in the world, I know, but I would appreciate some help on this whistle lanyard. It came attached to the button of my Feldwebel's tunic, unfortunately with no whistle on the end. I have compared it to others posted here and I would like to say it's genuine. However, the little ring and snap-hook on one end I have not seen before. I presume there was huge variation in whistle attachments, rings etc. so it should be ok - ?
I do not like the construction of the one posted. Especially the finishing of the ends, a single strand, and the way they wrapped and tied.
Here are a few of mine.
The first one is for my Luft. Flak impression, the second is, (from what I believe), purchased from a vet, and the last is, I believe, a HJ lanyard.
Ralph.
