    Hi all,

I picked this up at Stoneleigh a few years back.
Not my usual area of collecting and I wasn’t convinced about the labels. The rest looked so original I thought I’d take a punt.
There appears to be a very feint Waffenamt stamp in the bottom.
I’d appreciate any thoughts on it thanks.

Looks like a good one to me. Labels look original too. Shame about the woodworm, though!

Woodworm gets to these things more often than not. One of my own boxes is the same. As long as it’s not active, it’s nothing to worry about. A nice ammunition box, regardless of the woodworm!

It doesn’t appear to be active. I’ve kept a close eye on it and there’s been no fresh dust showing. I did consider treating it with woodworm killer but I’d imagine that would destroy the labels.

Yes, if it's not active, it's best to just leave it alone.

You can try sticking it in the freezer for a couple of days in a dry bag to kill off any woodworm left inside.

Nice box for 1500x7.92 rounds. Good to have the zinc liner ; often missing from these. You can see similar here -
