    Looks like a DDR post war backpack to me

    We would not use the term Afrikakorps to identify an item. Tropical perhaps. The straps are very lightweight and not of TR era military grade. Perhaps a civilian item. I will defer to others with more knowledge. NH

    A similar item was sold for 6 Euros and listed as a DDR Rucksack. It appears Tom has properly identified it. NH

    Yep, it certainly looks the same, and I do quite like mine, good for taking my sarnies into work..
