Hi guys, what are your opinions about this waffen ss rubber stamp? I think that its probably a fake.

I always stay away from these as there are some really good fakes out there. A USB micro scope in the crack in the wood would show if there is real patina and age. That said, who's to say the handle isn't old and a fake stamp has been added?

Not much help. I start out always assuming these are fake. Sorry. Hopefully others can provide more info.

I have one of these myself (non SS). I thought I had a thread here but couldn't find it, nor could I find my old (very) photos. In mine it had a crack in the handle as well. Under the USB you could clearly see the age and patina inside the crack (and the metal stamp was permanently attached)

It seems that its hard to tell anything just from these pics, obviously some personal examining is needed in this case for reach a conclusion.
