WW2 Red Cross Chocolate - Unopened
Since Dimas just posted some unopened WW2 ration cans here --
https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/ussr-...at-ration.html
I thought this would add to the topic . If any of you have any other unopened rations along these lines ...please share them with us !
Here’s a great example that we rarely see these days …WW2 German Chocolate that has made it over 60 years without being opened/unwrapped.. You'd figure some child would have ripped into this back then. Unless ..a GI brought it home and just plain forgot about it.
It reminds me of the way the Scho-Ka-Kola was packed …same company made it so , it’s not surprising
Here’s a little background on the Company -- Scho-Ka-Kola - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and NO ..I don't share so , I won't send you a piece

Hi Mike, and I bet it still smells good?
Cheers, Ade.

Re: WW2 Red Cross Chocolate - Unopened
I think the smell's long gone ...it's just really dried out and fragile.

Re: WW2 Red Cross Chocolate - Unopened
Very nice, and the modern Scho-ka-kola looks the same inside!
Thanks for posting that interesting can!

Re: WW2 Red Cross Chocolate - Unopened
65 year-old chocolate in my kind of condition--stonemint (emphasis on the stone!)
What does the modern stuff taste like--is it bitter?
