    Hello,

this 2 shovels are a mystery in my e-tool collection for a long time.

I hope someone of you can help me in this matter!

This type is very atypical for german shovels.
Length, the shape of the blade and also the end of the wooden handle are unusual for Germany.
Both are marked with german manufacturers.
    J.E. Bleckmann, Solingen
    Hermann Dahlmann, Gevelsberg

Maybe WW1 export products for an allied country of Imperial Germany?
Maybe some special shovels for pioneer troops?
    I have no clue.

I would appreciate any help or hint.

    Best regards,
    Austrian

Here a follow up on this puzzle.

At HGM Wien (army museum Vienna) this type is displayed as Serbian army shovel.
So it seems that Serbia purchased this model, before WW1 of course.
Now I'm looking for some pictures to proof this.
On youtube is some material to find, but unfortunately in bad quality. See attached and here is also the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=323&v=9-j1ZmqODIk&feature=youtu.be
