Sorry to resurrect this post. Did you have any luck on finding out more about this badge? Im on the lookout for one myself, even repro so tips/ advice would be helpful.
I would have to say not good sorry, the backs on these are significantly different. Also the centre enamelled section looks like 60s/70s enamel, not the deep blue ribbed enamel which is on all the original finish air force badges.
Old Thread from 2015 turned out to be original 2nd Type with lighter blue enamel where to 1st model have a darker blue enamel
