Hello I just picked up these 2 police daggers, I was wondering if anyone knew the unit markings on them?
Thank You Very Much

Welcome the forum
According to History Writ in Steel; German Police Markings 1900-1936 by Don Maus
P. Md. 351 - Polizieschule Munden. Weapon 351
S. Sch I. 936 - Schutzpolizei Schleswig. Weapon 936. The "I" indicates one of the police commands within the district of Schleswig - thought to be Altona-Wandsbeck.
The scabbards should carry the same unit markings as the bayonets.
Regards
Richie

Cheers, Ger
Good looking daggers. I like it when they have these numbers. The history comes even closer to you.
What a great quote Trondk!!....." The History comes even closer to you"!. Sometimes this is all we have if we are fortunate to have serial numbered examples. Nice! Regards Larry

Thanks to all this really helps me out, both scabbards have matching unit markings and the frogs are both readable and dated.
Thanks To All
