Hi Chaps, any idea what this is & was it was used for? Completely not my area. It does have a tassel on the pointed end (fell off table top when I took the pic!!)

It's something related to the DRfL or German National Association of Physical Education.
Agreed. (They didn't use the proper official abbreviation, which was DRL.)
The logo at the bottom is that of the Deutsche Turnerschaft [German Gymnastics Association], already incorporated into the DRL by that time and completely absorbed by it and disbanded in1936.
This table flag is from a 1935 festival in Lübeck held by the DRL's North German regional organization Gau Nordmark.
