Wow! Very cool! Do you mind sharing the story of how you come to be in possession of it?
Hi,i got it on another trade as i had a few badges horesman and a few other for it..my freind knows more as i will ask him..thanks all for the nice words!! WHAT DO YOU THINK THE VALUE IS ON IT?I WAS THINKING $500 AS I GOT IT FOR $400 TRADE SO I DONT KNOE REALY I JUST REALY LOVED THE C OLOR AND FRING ON IT AS ITS VERY PRETTY!
just an interesting sidenote, scholven was the home of one of the larger synthetic feul plants during ww2, and as such was a fairly high priority target for bombing raids.to me that would make this particular flag just a little more interesting, as this area was fairly heavily bombed, there have to be relatively few pieces like this still around.

Wow!! That is very interesting and thank you for telling us that ...that is great to know as i just love history..
Thats true Ade.
Scholven is a part of Gelsenkirchen, Germany. I think this flag was for the workers who worked for the Hydrierwerk Scholven AG, later called VEBA Oel AG and now called BP Gelsenkirchen GmbH.
Number 3 may be the part of the Hydrierwerk where the unit was working.
As clarksvillestamps said it is true that the Hydrierwerk Scholven AG has been bombed very often and very heavy in the final stages of WWII.
Cheers, Martin
thanks so much ,as that is realy very nice to know! i have to wright it down for sure..as like my camera i will forget..so that would make this a rarer one because of how heavy it was bombed..crazy but cool i love the hole history thing its great!!
