The Ratisbons example went for over 17,000 Euro's including the buyers premium, and there was the eagle top finial and wreathed swastika minus the name bar, made by Gahr of Munich, that went for around 19,000 including the premium IIRC.

If i had the money for it, then i would buy it. Just for the historical importance of this flag.
Condition is of minor importance when it comes to very important historical objects like this.

I was able to pick up this at a small auction for just under 10k after the fees and I will be posting the one from my collection for sale on the forums with a minimal profit built in. If it sells it sells, and if it doesn't I have no problem keeping this one as I doubt I'll come across another. The Ratisbon's standard sold by Klaus Butschek went for just under 20k after currency conversion, buyer premium, Credit Card processing fees and then shipping and insurance to the buyer. The flag can be seen here:

You are probably correct about that! Kudos, even with the damage on one side, it's a lovely banner and I doubt you'll ever find another for that price. Good show.
