That's the way to buy stuff Michael. I just love the old peculiar stuff that comes in an untouched bundle.
    Nice pick up.

    Cheers

It wasn't "great" stuff. But interesting none the less.

I agree, very cool find. Lucky it was with all that other stuff, because I wouldn't believe it otherwise. Not sure why exactly, but it is growing on me more and more - maybe it was a kindergarten project. The parents maybe had it in their house like we all put our kids art on the fridge. Haha

The only answer i can think of besides my eastern volunteer theory with their limited sewing skills, must be that someone between 1945 and 2018 made that flag. Do i believe so?! No i dont, i believe there is a purpose behind how it looks, just like the Turn gymnasts had a weird swas, or 5ss div viking had their circular swas.

    Trond,

I do not think we will ever know, which is kind of the appeal of the piece. The untold story.......

You can imagine the ? marks dancing around in my head when I first saw the holes for the removed swastika.

Possible. I do have another home made pendant. (I over paid for it but wanted it so...who cares).

It was (I think) for the BDM or maybe HJ....or maybe even RAD.
