    Hi and welcome, AJC..............!

The 'armbands' shown look like small flags, or perhaps armbands cut down into
rectangular shapes, or because of their imperfections, possibly war-time
roundels made into small flags. They are unusual because normally
these are longer and narrower with the sides gathered
    and sewn together.

I've seen Reichkrieger flags selling at $400 to $700, smaller ones
    being better suited for display.

How can I be sure they are real? I'm pretty sure they they are because I got them from my friends attic wrapped in 1956 newspapers and he said he last remembers seeing them in 1953. I very much appreciate any advice and help offered by more experienced members.

I really like them, and believe these are good original 'National War Flags'
because of their construction and their size. ( I have a fake and these
two do not show traits that the fake flag has............... )

BTW, Naval flags have a Kriegsmarine 'Eagle over M'
    inkstamp on them.

Thank You Steve, I attempted to research these items as much as I could before posting. I learned from other members posts the key parts of the flags to photograph. I have seen other flag pictures with Krigsmarine inkstamp and these two flags did not have that stamp. What is the difference between a naval flag and a national war flag?

My very first posts were about two flags I aquired and attempted
to ID also. Unfortunately, they both were fakes but I was
    able to see subtle differences.

Naval marked ones were used strictly by the Kriegsmarine
I suppose, but I do not know what 'generic' Kriegs
Flags were used for or where they were flown
    - schools, office buildings..........?

There is a sales section within the Forum to advertise items.

I'd check dealer sites like 'Collectors Source' etc, to get
an idea of pricing, although dealers will sell for
    higher profit margins...........

    Steve.
