Hello,
Certainly no expert here but I do believe that these swivel hooks were used during the period. I have seen pictures of these used before. I hope others reply in the event that I am wrong.

I emailed someone who deals with alot of flags and ww2 memorabilia. They said those type hooks were in that time period. Although kinda unusual to find... but towns and villages did make flags and thats what they used whoever made that flag back in the day as well as other flags that use those type hooks.

Clips are as good as gold . Had the same ones on a street banner I sold years ago..

Yes those clips are original to the time period, used on BDM & HJ & other pennants.
