Default NAZI flags on ebay strange rules

A friend of mine posted a ww2 german flag for sale recently on ebay a couple of days later he noticed it had been removed and inbox message from ebay explaining why he decided to contact ebay and question why there where other nazi flags for sale time and time again and forwarded examples that where not removed he received a very strange reply imo he was told, i see you live in the uk and use ebay.co.uk it seams the examples you have shown me are all from the usa therefore they would have been placed on ebay.com my friend then said and your point is ? well he was told basically different countrys different rules he was getting a bit annoyed by now and hung up b4 he lost it, so what sense do those rules make none at all imo doesnt matter who posts these flags or where they live if there found offensive by certain members they should then not be tolerated at all by ebay surely very strange imo uk sellers not allowed to sell nazi flags americans its fine go ahead WOW

Ebay is sadly very quirky IMO.. They pull items with "Swastika's" like flags, but permit currency Ie; coins with the same image.. Retarded at best.. G

eBay UK disallows anything with a Nazi swastika, excluding currency, stamps and swastikas on period authentic model kits. Why? Because these symbols apparently 'promote hatred and intolerance.'
Do they? Why must that be their only context? Are the fine folks at eBay unable to tell the difference between a history enthusiast and a ravening neo-Nazi? It seems they believe that the only reason people would be selling these things is because they support the ideals they represent. Talk about a quantum leap in logic.
And this isn't unique to eBay. This is a widespread belief amongst the general public, or for lack of a better term, 'the uneducated.' Those who find these things so offensive seem to do so on behalf of others. Are there, or are there not, a rather large number of Jewish collectors of these items? According to this logic, they must be Nazis too.
Add that to the fact that many of these people couldn't tell you the first thing about the period of history these artefacts come from, and you have a very curious cocktail of ignorance and arrogance.

    It boggles the mind...

Over here in Canada you cannot sell anything with a swastika unless its a book or currency etc. I once put a badge on with a piece of paper over the offending symbol and they pulled it. When I asked why others were still there and some just turned over they wanted me to report them all. I just replied I was not their e-bay police. Cheers Brian
