It's commonly thought this is a mine flag but it was primarily used as a poisonous gas marker. I have the other part of the set minus the carrying bag.

This is the larger version of the Gas warning flag and it is 1930's-40's.

I don't know if I like the looks of either one of these flags, but the SS one just looks too "ungenuine" to believe.
