RAD Officials Fender Pennant

Hello,

I am looking into possibly picking this up for my RAD collection along with a RAD Photo Album. Still trying to see if I can come to terms with seller on a price that will work for both of us. The fender Pennant is made of a olive drab wool and is double sided. It is 12" X 7½". The hoist area of the pennant retains the original metal attachment brackets. I have only seen these a couple times in my travels and believe them to be hard to locate. I did post 3 pictures here of this pennant in use with RAD Official's vehicles. Do any of my fellow collectors have one of these pennants and are you willing to post a few pictures for reference here to compare. I am pretty comfortable with its construction and authenticity but thought I would post some pictures.

Below is information from our esteemed Wilhelm Saris who has given me some greater information on this piece. Thank you Wilhelm for assisting with great data and knowledge on this piece. I will keep you posted should I be able to acquire it.

image 1 - The pennant-form as from March 3, 1934. Below shows the many forms of flags and pennants from that period. It all is in order V2 VII nr.3612/34;

image 2 - is the text for the car pennant from September 16, 1937. The color brown is mentioned, but the actual color merely is the RAD brownish green. Regular units had regular numbers, staffs had roman numbers and schools the letter abbreviation. The second part for the text is for females

image 3 - is the drawing to the text part, which was phrased as sample 3 Muster 3

image 4 - is the actual use of a pennant with roman numbers

image 5 - is an actual pennant from a source Wim knows

I can't help but, if original, it would make a splendid addition to your RAD collection Kirk!

Kirk, I saw this piece recently and think it would be a good buy and at a fairly reasonable price.
I'm not sure when one will pop up again.. Hope ya score it !! G

I loved the piece but I could not justify the asking price for it even if they are rare. I believe seller and I are too far apart and he has a buyer already so I am passing unfortunately.

Yes G.... I should have acted a few months ago on it but funds were not as available then. Price was up there too. Oh well. Maybe someday I will locate another.
