    Default SA Wall Banners

These SA Wall Banners were found in the same area of Florida but came from two separate sources at different times. They could be from the same maker as the construction is very similar. The large one has a cloth maker's tag "Fahnen Werkstaetten Heber Gestickte Flaggen u. Behaenge Markneukirchen."

It's possible that members of the same US military unit from Florida took these from the same SA facility.

    It's pure speculation but ...

The rectangular banner is 53x49" including 3 12/" fringe.
The square banner measures 44x44" including 2" fringe.

Here is mine. I wonder if they came out of the same building?

    Paul-
My provenance is also dead end as mine came out of the Stadnicki collection. It was illustrated in Jill Halcomb.s book, "The SA" from 1985. I remember when you picked those up at the SOS on a table right across from mine. Yours is the only other one I know of.

I'd love to find a photo with one of these in the background...or, for that matter, in the foreground. The square one looks like the staff flag design so perhaps there's a connection.

I sold the larger one. I still have the square one. One of these days maybe they'll turn up in a photo.
