Signed Nazi flag up to 60 Question, I am in negotiation for this... they are asking 1k... is it really worth that? I have never seen one before... Also I did some research, apparently there are several of these out there from 901st FA HQ... another one had differ date like a week before may 1st... but same kinda of navy flag with the city name Chemnitz... So the flag wasn't liberated in the city I would assume... but signed at the end of the war.

I'll let others comment on the authenticity of signatures but, for me, I would think it's at least twice the amount it should be... $1000 is ridiculous, I've seen much better signed flags for half that and that wouldn't eve be private sales. From what I've observed I think these split collectors into two categories... one; like me, loving the history behind them and all the names that once participated in the war... and, two; those that feel flags like this have been ruined by writing on them

The few signed flags that I have seen in the past, the soldiers usually put their rank along with their name. I don't see many ranks at all on it. Would that be normal?

IF original I'd say it is about a $250+ item - NOT close to $1000 or even $500. That is IF it is original and I agree I don't like it. Different than several originals that I have seen.

I agree the price was too high, but just because of the lack of uniqueness and similar hand writings... I have passed on the negotiations.
