It looks very new, I can’t imagine this item is over 75 years old.
RZM marking looks to be laser etched (Post 1945). Not a fan of the banner either, the sloppiness of the fabric at the ends of the runes is suspicious as well. Not seeing any tarnishing of the tassel material either, which leads me to believe that this is not an authentic piece.
Without more research and information about Third Reich era musical instruments and their manufacture and markings I would be highly suspicious.
Based on the RZM reference materials I was able to find, RZM M10 is indeed for musical instruments, however to my knowledge RZM M10/36 is not listed.
M10/1 Eernhard Kohl, Markneukirchen
M10/3 Fritz Horst, Hamburg-Altona
M10/4 Link, Weisenfels
M10/5 Leberecht Fischer, Markneukirchen
M10/6 Georg Walther, Adorf
M10/9 Unknown
M10/16 Unknown
M10/21 Unknown
Here is a similar SS trumpet with banner and identical RZM M10/36 stamping. This one sold for 300 pounds back in 2019 but again I would be highly suspicious due to the lack of information other than the obvious that is written in the description.
A military pattern brass trumpet, 32” overall, etched just behind the bell mouth with RZM mark, “M10

I dont think its legit. Im honestly not digging the one to the auction that sold. All the SS trumpet banner i believe have the tassles border on all three sides except the top. And the one i posted i dont like the stitching or the runes. I have no interest in buying. Im just tryna to practice my identifying fake from real skills lol
I would think an authentic banner would have a RZM label.
Taken from the corner of an original SS trumpet banner & a different ones it's RZM tag. Note the material used for the flag with the RZM tag. The edge stitching on the runes is wrong as is the way the runes are stitched down on the flags base material. 4th Reich unoriginium stuff.
Game over, as they say.
Hi Smitty its the same trumpet and banner ...the horn part shows the same gash an dimple ...appears this horn is making its rounds since the last buyer didnt want it.

Larry,
I was thinking it may have been the same, but I wasn't sure. Surprising that the newest images didn't mention anything about the marked mouthpiece..
Best regards
