Re: wwii german police cap pin original cap pin and Arm patch
Kevin, the first is a german WWII police cap badge, which looks OK to me,
but the cloth insignia is a piece of a cut US Navy Petty Officer sleeve rating.

There are not too many navy petty officers on a battlefield, I should think !
It looks to be stitched onto wool, but this style of insignia is still used today.
The fact that it is cut up doesn't help it,even if it
is WWII ! I'd sew it onto a baseball cap or something..........
You should really stop and rethink just what it is you want to collect,
spend some money on a few good books first, on the items or area
you want to collect.
If you like WWII German stuff, OK, but there are many,
MANY things you need to know BEFORE you lay out cash ! ! !
Knowledge is really your greatest tool.
Regards,
Steve W.

The cap badge is definitely authentic. Forgers have problems with all those pesky feathers. Not saying that it can't be done, though.

Re: wwii german police cap pin original cap pin and Arm patch
Sorry I didn't make myself clear. The German Police Hat badge is authentic WWII. I do not know about the eagle patch. It does appear to be an american patch. Take care!
