    Hello all,

I thought I’d put this Emil Voos knife up for discussion as I’d like to learn a bit more about it. Apparently they were sold at pre war Nazi Rallies such as Nuremberg. The etching is quite feint but has the Nazi Eagle and Swastika in a sun burst border.
The length of the blade is 130 mm and the knife overall is 245 MM.
It came with a leather sheath which the seller noted wasn’t its original.
Internet searches come up with very little info. Any comments appreciated
    Thank you

I found this example On Tom Johnsons website and someone will be along to authenticate the knife and etch itself.
There has been many fakes of these including the 1935 National party day Nuremburg knife.

    Thanks Larry.
The etch on my knife although feint, is the same design as the Tom Johnson example.
However, my etch would seem too big for the blade with no room for a margin.
Any further comments would be welcome, good or bad

    IMO a put together piece.
It has a genuine blade which we see on Emil Voos boyscouts - Fahrtenmesser.
The grip is a later attachtment, and the etch is questionable.

    Thanks Ger.
I bought this online from photos, when I received it I was underwhelmed by its quality. The pommel cap has been badly done so a put together piece makes sense.
Oh well, you live and learn....
