    Hi I inherited some of my family antiques think one is a forestry dagger/ Cutlass? Any help identifying it if it's real be greatly appreciated because I'm also a blacksmith,bladeSmith and would like to pattern off a real dagger for the creation of sparring blades

    Imperial German hunting cutlass with skinner by Clemen & Jung, or as the Germans call it: ein Hirschfänger mit Beimesser (Waidbesteck)
    Condition is pretty rough, but it still has its little skinner knife, mosstly they are lost in time.

    Thank you so much, I really appreciate it; could you tell me if/ was this style of dagger was used for hunting, fighting, and or as an ornamental status symbol, also do you happen to know the age?

    Its a hunting dagger used to kill deer and boar.
