I don't know anything about these at all but that is a stunningly beautiful piece, fantastic craftsmanship and I guess this must have belonged to someone of high status. I could look at this for hours, Lovely!!

Impressive Gerrit..Im curious of whos Coat of Arms that may belong to.
This is so exquisite I would entertain the thought it was presented from Hermann Goring to a well established Forestry officer.
I cant say enough about the condition of the damast and the 100% gilting on the panel etch.
Superb and can not be upgraded !

about rarety… you will not find another one like this, this is a special custom order, and looking at the etch of the Kingdom of Bavaria, it most likely was ordered for or by a very high ranking person, my best guess is high nobelty…. as a damast blade like this was even in the days a very time consuming and expensive one.
Its unique and one of a kind!
