Just got this beauty as part of an exceptional lot.
Totally outshines EVERYTHING ELSE i have or have held in my hands when it comes to being mint!
Top of that comes the personalization

Sorry to say but this is a post war piece, the Eickhorn mark should be stamped on all Hunting/Forestry and shooting association hirschfängers.
Sorry to say but i think he's right, only shooting dagger with an etched makermark that ive seen sofar is an Ernst Pack which a GECO berlin blade.

I'm sorry to say but obviously you've both learned somthing new today as this hirsch comes with all the provenance a collector could possibly wish for!
This particular hirsch was handed over to me by the original owners daughter, along with paperwork, photoalbums etc. that provides more than sufficient evidence to prove this ones former ownership
I can tell you that everything i've recieved from this lady are in absolutely MINT condition being signed Göring picture, invites to several of Görings happenings as kammeradschafts abend, jagdausstellung and entrance tickets for same arrangements..All looks like it was printed yesterday
Even the handwritten invite from Ilse Göring to the family, looks like she wrote it just days ago...
Hi Jesper,
i would be very pleased if i got it wrong about this one.
It is a very nice piece, only the etched Eickhorn logo itches me...
but ive seen more unusual exceptions and i truly hope this is one of them!
Enjoy this piece.
Ger
