Hello gentleman. Can any one help identify the crest on this piece? Is it a royal cypher?Cutlass is old possibly mid 1700s - 1800s .Scabbard is wood with a seems like two piece leather covering very dry and cracked. Blade has a wolf after panel on each side with 1120 date But it is obviously not that old. No other marks on blade Any opinions would be appreciated.Thanks Charlie ps cutlass is about 30 inches blade 24 inches.

It may have some age to it, could be up to a 100 years old, but the style, crude detailing and brass work to me signals India or Pakistan as the place of origin. Quite possibly a copy of a German design, perhaps an old tourist market piece, but the quality is not there. The blade is a very basic.
