Seller says it's WWII, but seems to have a lot of WWI stuff. Interesting how from a distance the design of the center seems to form a swastika. But anyway, what is it?
Looks pretty neat anyway, and obviously real.

Although I can not identify which one, the sheild or "Wappen" represents a specific district. It is original.

Not a buckle I am familiar with, the only thing I can think of is like Ralph said previous, one of the City or District buckles, I have had a look through the Angolia and Nash book and the design is not in there, maybe one of the German members will recognise the shield![]()
Ben
Could be Vienna
Looks like StuG nailed it, good work.
Way cool buckle, asking price of $150, but it fairly reeks with personality, and it is probably rare. For the advanced buckle collector?
Depends on if you collect that sort of buckle, at $150 I would not take it, but that is me
Ben
Maybe if there was no rust and a person were collecting by district, but not worth $150. in this condition.
JMHO,
Ralph.

I believe this is a postwar buckle...Police/Fire Department. Not worth $150 by any stretch, in my opinion....
cheers, Glenn
Glenn got it these are post war police buckles, i've seen others with the coat of arms of other town/cities selling for about $50, $150 is waaay to much!...
