Nice buckle Markus. But what organization do these buckles belong to?
Jeff
Hello,
sugggestion is that it was made by Berg&Nolte with pre 45 tools but after 1945 for post war .
One times i saw a photo with a fireman post war , in the WWW . No other informations available

I had a well worn one once but 99% of these are in mint to near mint condition.
These are buckles produced in the immediate postwar-period for police, fire dept, and similar official organizations--to replace the old Swastika-adorned buckles...Looks like a "48" to me, and not a "43", btw....
cheers, Glenn

Often regarded as Strafbattalion buckles but they aint!...
Strafbattalion is a reference I'd seen before...wasn't sure. Thanks for the clarification
I have on my PC at home a picture of a post war fireman wearing one, but its about 5000 miles away at the moment lol
Ben
Yup....marked 43 but for sure used postwar. I will add pics of my example. To be honest: I don't think I have ever seen an example that is not 43 marked.
Also adding the pic that I believe Ben was referring to.
Cheers everyone!
Rob
