collecting buckles
hello,
the time has come!
I have turned my attention elsewhere and have sold a large part of my
buckle collection at Ratisbon's in an online auction .
Auction will start on February 3rd 2024 .
Of course this does not diminish my interest in the matter and I will continue to be here ...............

Wow Markus such a shame, but we all do it

Out of curiosity did they buy your buckles or are they going to auction them off. A 150 buckle collection was auctioned off recently. Everything I bid on went for a lot more than I thought it was worth. A lot of good deals of mostly buckle I already own. Looking at your old threads you have lots of buckles I will be bidding on. Hope you stay on the forum and good luck with the auction.

Hello Kirby ,
a good friend of mine works with Ratisbone's and takes care of it .
I submitted the buckles for auction there and did not sell them .

Hello Markus,
That leaves me speechless... Yellow without buckles, somehow unreal...
Unfortunately, the saying is probably true: “Everything in life has its time.”
Then cheers to what once was...
Greetings

In action are round about 250 buckles .
Ca. 30 SA/NSKK with makermarks.

Hi Markus.
I think you made a tough decision.
I looked at the upcoming auction and saw a lot of buckles that I will be bidding on. The buckles are nice and from an established collection.
I think the prices will go very high.
Regards Georgi.

Looking forward to the auction but looking at his old threads I see some great buckles I probably would have been on. He might have kept some of his collection. Hard to sell everything.

So what? Who shopped?
For me the prices were high. I wanted the better pieces. But SA buckles were not expensive.
