I've always liked this kind of buckle. Is this a type of SS buckle? A guy is trying to sell me it but can't guarantee if it's rea or not l? Thanks!

I would think so Ned. I saw a post on the Feldgrau site regarding a buckle with the same description and M4/24 markings and it was ruled as a fantasy item.

Gents, pure fantasy item and a piece of crap, there are lots of buckles like this out there with this type of rear, SS, Heer, they are all rubbish

I agree: nice design....but nothing more. It's a fantasy piece that never existed during the TR......it's from a well known series of reproductions that are actually very cheap in construction.
Yet - these buckles sell constantly on Ebay......
Hattonchase....You did right by looking into it....too many others don't and get taken!
